Chris Schaefer joined the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation in July 2016 as the Assistant Director of Development and was promoted in July of 2017 to the Director of Development.  Before his time with the ODAF, Chris spent two and a half years in the ODU Ticket Office where he oversaw football ticketing.

 In his new role, Chris will oversee the ODAF’s annual fund, as well assist with fundraising efforts for ODAF.

Prior to coming to ODU in 2013, Chris worked in the NC State Ticket Office as a Ticket Office Assistant.Born and raised in Saratoga, NY, Chris received his Bachelor’s from NC State in 2012 and completed his Master’s in Sport Management from ODU in 2016.

In his free time Chris enjoys golfing, fishing and spending time with friends, barbecuing. He currently resides in Virginia Beach with his wife, Nicole, and their daughter, Noelle.

Trey Freeman's game winning half-court shot against Murray State. The Constant Center was electric that night and created a home court advantage that propelled the Men's Basketball team to the NIT Semi-Finals at Madison Square Garden.
