Are you an alumnus of ODU?
          I attended ODU from 1978-1980.

What is your favorite memory of ODU Athletics?
My favorite memory of ODU Athletics is attending the first football game played on campus. It was wonderful to see the years of hard work to bring football to ODU finally come together. Our entire family attended including my 80 year old mother (who was just as excited as the rest of us!).

Why do you support ODU athletics and its student-athletes?
I support ODU Athletics and its student-athletes because I not only have strong faith in the staff of ODU athletics, but I also believe that community involvement is crucial to the success of any athletic program. Campus sports bring the students and community together interacting in a mutually supportive environment which is much needed for the success of any program as well as the surrounding community.

What do you like most about ODU as a whole?
What I like most about ODU as a whole is that the University leadership continues to expand and grow educational programs along with athletics, while keeping technology and the University facilities on a competitive level.

What makes you the most proud of ODU?
Honestly, one of the things that makes me most proud of ODU is the athletic department and how the coaches and support staff are training their student athletes to not only be the best athlete they can be, but more importantly to be wonderful ambassadors for the University. Business brings me to campus several times a week and when I visit the athletic department, there is a noticeable difference in the manners and courtesy shown by the student-athletes coming and going through this building. This is a testament to the guidance and well-rounded training from the coaches and support staff. Recently, a friend who was tailgating at an ODU football game mentioned to me that he met three ODU basketball players and commented on what gentlemen they were. This makes me proud of ODU!

If you could describe ODU in one word, what word would it be and why?
Cornerstone. ODU is a cornerstone of our community with its foundation firmly rooted in developing young students into successful adults. The University offers a tremendous amount of support to our local businesses, our overall economy and of course, our community.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?
I feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful university with its excellent leadership in our area and I plan to continue supporting ODU through the coming years.
