Are you an alumnus of
completed our undergraduate degrees at ODU (June in English, Justin
in Computer Science) and Justin is currently working to finish his
PhD in Computer Science.
What is your favorite memory of ODU
it is difficult to select an absolute favorite, two from recent
memory that stand out are Jazz Walters' game winner against UVA to
send the Lady Monarchs to the Sweet 16 in 2008 and watching the
first football team run out of the tunnel in 2009.
Why do you support ODU athletics and its
contribute to ODAF because of the sense of community and excitement
that athletics brings to the campus and the exposure it gives ODU.
While we were students, ODU athletic events were a very big part of
our collegiate experiences, and we give back to help current
students and student athletes create their own experiences.
What do you like most about ODU as a
being back on campus to see the changing landscape, being part of
ODU's growing national brand, and the passion that those working at
the university have for their work.
What makes you most proud of ODU?
We are not only proud
of all the athletic accomplishments ODU has had - these are
obviously highly visible - but also the academic successes. We
continue to meet alumni that have excelled in their careers and in
society and are representing ODU very well.
If you could describe ODU in one word, what word would
it be and why?
Quality. ODU offers a quality athletics department, a quality
education, and a high quality community.

Justin's parents, Jim and Janet, are also football season ticket
holders and alumni of ODU, and introduced Justin to Lady Monarch

games in the White Lot. Additionally, we are such big fans that we
had our engagement pictures take at Foreman Field (photo credit:
