What is your favorite memory of ODU Athletics? It is a tie. The 2010 Paradise Jam in St. Thomas when we beat Xavier for the Championship. 2008 when we finally beat VCU at the Siegel Center.
Why do you support ODU Athletics and its student-athletes? We both love sports and have enjoyed getting to know the players and coaches over the past 15 years. Many of our good friends are people we have met at ODU football and basketball events.
What do you like most about ODU as a whole? The sense of community, beautiful campus, great programs.
What makes you the most proud of ODU? The great strides ODU has made academically over the past 20 years.
If you could describe ODU in one word, what word would it be and why? Family – the athletic staff has worked hard to create a bond between the teams and the fans.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself? Cindy is a Virginia Beach native. I grew up in Middletown, Ohio which was a town crazy about their high school sports. I played basketball in high school and college. Sports are a large part of our life. Cindy's son, Christopher Mandigo, will graduate from ODU in December with a degree in civil engineering technology. I have three grown sons and five grandchildren.
