Drew Turner took over as the Assistant Director of the ODAF in
November of 2013 and was promoted to Director in 2014. In
2015, Drew was again promoted to his current position
of Assistant Athletic Director for Development. In his
current role Drew oversees the day-to-day operations of the
ODAF Annual Fund and is responsible for securing capital
commitments in support of ODU Athletics that will support the ODU
Athletics budget, athletic facility upgrades and the athletic
endowment. Drew also serves as a member of the ODU
Athletic Department Administration. Drew comes to ODU from
Drew graduated from the University of South Carolina where he
spent three years working in the Athletic Department for the
Gamecock Club. Prior to attending South Carolina, He played a
year of football at Elon University before retiring due to
injuries. Drew enjoys spending time with his friends and
family, golf, the beach and collegiate athletics. He is
currently pursuing his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at
Drew grew up around collegiate athletics as his father, Todd,
served as an Athletic Director for over twenty years at four
different Universities (UConn, NC State, Vanderbilt, and
Washington) and currently serves as President for an executive
search and consulting firm, Collegiate Sports Associates.
Without a doubt, Trey Freeman's game winner against Murray State
to send the Monarchs to Madison Square Garden. That is one
that I will remember for a long time.
